Every foreign or French captain must declare his crew or passengers at the Harbour Master's office before they are allowed to disembark.
When entering French waters, 12 miles off the coast line of Saint-Martin, the captain of a vessel must comply with French immigration regulations. Immigration Police, the National Gendarmes Force or Customs are allowed to check all vessels at any time at sea.
